New lease program for Artists and Art Dealers

American Fine Art which is located in the Dallas Design District for 23 years is now leasing out space in the gallery. The space is for artists and art dealers that will also have the opportunity to meet and sell their works from the space whenever they wish. With over 8000 sq. ft. and 12' tall walls.

We are trying to change our direction to a gallery that not only hosts fine artists, but allows the artist to interact and promote from the space. A way to bypass the middle man and sell direct to the end user, Interior Designer, or whomever. In doing so we are able to create a new type of energy on Dragon St. Our showroom handles the credit card transactions and pays the fee. We advertize in Dallas - Fort Worth Design Guide currently taking up two pages along with artwork inserts in other pages. We have a mailing list of existing clients and we are members of the Dallas Art Dealers Association which hosts two shows each year.

We also offer custom framing to Interior Designers, Photographers, Galleries, and Artists at wholesale prices with all services.

The District has a new PD which limits the kind of business that can open in the district as this area has been zoned to include residential. As the change is taking place and new galleries are entering the area, we are looking for a change also. Offering artists and art dealers space that fits their needs is the direction we are trying to go to create one of the most interesting and creative galleries in Dallas. We invite you to come in and look at the Gallery and meet with us regarding any questions that you may have.

We lease our walls by the sq. ft. ($1.6) so a wall that is 12' tall and 12' wide would lease for $231 and a wall that is 15' long would lease for $288. The leases are for a 6 month period of time with a one month notice before the end of the lease to stop. The smallest walls are 4' wide and the largest are over 20'. We have leased out 8 spaces by word of mouth and this is the first notice we are introducing. 80% of the works must be originals and we charge 15% on all sales to pay for credit card fees and someone to handle the books. The rest of the money goes directly back to the artist.

I hope this opens a door for any fine artist looking for a space where they can show their works and be able to keep most of the profit. Please call or e-mail me with any questions.

Thank you,

David Zueger
